Abernathy, Clayton.  A U.S. soldier, general and commander of a Special
      Forces team; nicknamed "Hawk". Was commissioned with a dozen
      other men to a confidential assignment in Blueland in April 1992. Fate
      unknown.

Adams, Douglas.  An English author of the late 20th century. Unraveled
      the answer to the question about life, the universe, and everything.

Andorra.  A small ex-principality amidst the Pyrenees on Earth.

Black Sea, the.  An inland sea in Asia Minor, Earth. A historically
      important commerce fairway.

Blueland.   A peculiar place, of the location of which nobody seems to
      know anything else except the fact that it is located somewhere in
      the middle of mountains.

bubble.  An esoteric-ontological term. Also a cultural word.

Cochbrane, Jeff.  Guitarist of the band Dethdestro. Other band members
      forfeited their lives during hazy circumstances in the year 1999.

Garden of Winter.  see Waste of Dreams, the.

Gouken.  A legendary Japanese zen-monk and master of the Shotokan
      Karate.

Info.  Name of a bookstore that operated in Finland in the 1990's.

Middle-earth.  O.E. Middangeard, Scand. Midgård, name of Old Europe
      or World in the northwestern continential poetry and stories.

Morgoth.  An ancient and wicked name. Don't say it aloud. NOOOHHH..!

Narnia.  A city in Umbria, Italy. Name probably of Sindarin origin. Also
      the place of happenings in the fantasy books of C.S. Lewis.

orcs.  Creatures present in the Elder Days. Their spirits have assumably
      later been conjured up for nastier purposes. The name orc has since
      moved into Old English to generally stand for "an evil spirit"; also
      known from the phrase "orcs, schmorcs."

overlight speed.  Incorrectly named form of propulsion considering the
      relativity theory, and one in whose realization many have not been
      successful.

phase signal.  Usually an indication of advanced communication
      technology.

photon torpedo.  A projectile whose destructive power is based on the
      annihilation between matter and antimatter. Usually has at least a
      fusion-engine-based delivery system. Looks like a big ball of light.

Plains of Despair.  see Waste of Dreams, the.

time.  An interesting and also sometimes a fateful thingy. Usually
      measured by using numbers and catchy words like second, minute,
      hour, etc. Manifests for example on the reading of this entry, because
      after reading this text you will probably realize three things: 1) You're
      not quite the same guy now, 2) You have no better grasp of the
      matter than when you started, 3) You've wasted your precious time
      reading this futile paragraph. Observe! The definition of time
      presented here is only valid in the immediate local univ... wohoops,
      too late.

Togunians.  A race of which not much is known.

universe.  The local stomping grounds, subjectively speaking a somewhat
      wide place, since there's a lot of empty space. Is divided into galactic
      groups and then into smaller galaxies as well. Or so it appears.

Von Neumann machine.  A self-replicating robot, also known as "the
      device of Sauron".

Waste of Dreams, the.  An unspecified and obscure concept of a place,
      perchance somewhere between worlds; where the horizon is dark and
      lilac, the wind always blows irritatingly tepid, and the sky glooms in
      pale yellow, without the stars or sun; a place flashed in nightmares.
